I think Rowan will suprise some people this year. By the looks of their schedule on the KHSAA site, they tried to upgrade as much as possible. I am surprised that writers of the CATS Pause did not do a better job in their summary. They totally missed the transfer of Townsend to the team. The kid averaged 19.2 points a game as a sophmore last year in the 12th region, you would think that is at least worth mentioning. Their game against Ashland is supposed to be televised on Wazoo sports. I think they expect big things over in Morehead.

Aaron Rayburn is way too low. He's a top 5 player in the region IMO.

I hope TCP didn't pay him for this "preview". Not sure that he talked to a coach in the region, very few stats, and got several names wrong. Said Cross had a great summer for Rowan, and he didn't play a game.

Just got my Cat Pause today and I agree with you. If you read the 12th region the Townsend kid that transferred to Rowan is in the Somerset section. Makes me wonder what deadline Cat Pause put on the authors and if that had a impact or was it just bad or poor research. In either case, I will think before I purchase Cat Pause for the high school preview again.

The Cats Pause for the 16th is always a little off. I remember when I was in school I was listed as a sophomore when I was a JR. Not a big deal, but the NEKY area could really use some more research for their sections.

I think Greenup Co will be in the hunt, too. I don't think they need to be overlooked. Big, strong athletic team. They could make some noise this year.

Don't count Boyd County an Coach Anderson out this year . They have been working hard and are coming together more an more as a team.
