Nyjer Morgan - Thoughts?

Featured Replies

What are your thoughts on his behavior lately? What are you okay with? What are you not okay with?

Do you believe that a guy shouldn't steal bases when down eleven in the 6th inning, or would you rather your guys do everything they can to win?

I'm cool with him taking out the catcher and I'm cool with him stealing the bases. If you plunk him up 14-3 you should expect he's then going to run on you.

The guy is a punk, no doubt about that, but I disagree with what Aaron Boone had to say on Baseball Tonight. Are you just supposed to give up when your team is down 14-3? If that's an unwritten rule, then just implement the mercy rule in MLB. I think that's a croc arguement. I have no problem with him stealing bases down 11 runs. H

They are just as much to blame as he was. I didn't see anything wrong with taking out the catcher and then they hit him for it. So he stole the bases on them. Then got hit and it was on. I think they are both to blame here.

I have absolutely no problem with anything he did except for run into the Cardinals catcher on Saturday, that definitely wasn't needed.

I don't blame him for charging the mound tonight either after being hit once and thrown behind a second time. But boy did he get clothes lined by the Marlins first baseman.

He should have slid on Tuesday night- he cost his team a run.

If you don't want him to steal, don't put him on base by plunking him.

No reason to bump the Cards catcher whatsoever.

2 moves were punk moves, IMO. I'm fine with him stealing the bases. He will get a lot of time to think about his behavior from MLB via a suspension is my guess.

Nyjer Morgan is 6'0'' 175. Chris Volstad is 6'8'' 232.

The most disappointing thing to me was Morgan's actions after the fight. I understand stealing the base. I understand charging the mound. But what he did after was just embarrassing.

The video that Clyde posted is excellent.

It shows Morgan's punch attempt. He threw a big one, but missed Volstad. Then, it shows Sanchez take Morgan out in slow-mo. Then, 3rd base coach Pat Listach jumps on top of Volstad.

That. Was. Awesome.

One thing is for sure. Hanley Ramirez is useless in a fight.

Suspended seven games for throwing a ball into the stands at a fan.

Cussed out a fan after the fight.

Looks like Milton Bradley 2.0 to me

I have zero problem with him charging. Disappointed at his weak left.

I agree. I'd really like to chalk it up for heat of the moment type thing, but he looked embarassing.

I wish he would have landed it, one heck of a haymaker. He had to jump to be able to land that punch, which threw him off lol.
