Great job by the Jags they stayed with the Eagles up until 3 minutes left in the third . Jags had a chance to go up on the Eagles but dropped one in the end zone which would have put them up 25-22 :taz:and also Jags recovered a fumble by the Eagles on their 40 but in return gave it right back to them a play later . Great job jags :ylsuper:, good luck the rest of the season.

I agree. Not bad for a relatively new program to step out of the box and play one of the better programs lately in the state. I give the coaches and players alot of credit for stepping up to take on this challenge. JC is not the easiest places to play. Best of luck to the players and coaches the rest of the season.

Thanks to all the JC folks who were very kind. What a great stadium to play in. Cooper started 4 soph's on offense including the QB Morris who was outstanding. I can't think of one pass that didn't hit the receivers hands. The drop in the endzone in the 3rd that would have given Cooper the lead was unfortunate but he may have had his view affected as Morris dropped it right over the corner back and it went through his hands. Cooper's defense played hard against the much bigger JC team but really didn't stop them other than the turnovers and the end of the half when time ran out. A few 3rd down conversions by JC as their quick back slipped out of some tackles.

 

Cooper boys have nothing to be ashamed of as they played very hard from beginning to end. I thought the coaches did a great job having the kids "believe" they were going to win and the play calling was very good with a mix of run and pass. This offense is totally different than last year when Bradley was all they really had. I think as the season moves on and a couple of injured kids are fully healthy allowing some kids to only have to play on one side of the ball this will be a tough team to beat. The fatigue of a few kids started to show in the 4th.

I'm pretty sure Bradley had at least two, one being on 4th and inches that he bounced outside and weaved his way 60 plus yards for a score. I'm guessing he had around 120 yards or so for the game. He looked strong but didn't have near the carries as he would have had last year since Morris can throw.

I think Bradley had 180 on the night against a quality opponent. Definitely one of the top backs in the state! Good luck to both teams the rest of the year!
