MJ's boy Chris Heisy should pinch hit...

haha...he did and he came through with an excellent bunt. Great call by Dusty and perfect execution by Heisey and Edmonds!

I am glad I stayed up for the game, but man I am tired today. Can't ever quit on this guys. I couldn't help be think that this team really played like a championship team last night. Risilient and doing it with some small ball!

Let's get the sweep tonight!

Edmonds has been working with Bruce on his approach at the plate. Shocking...

He's starting to prove why it was a smart move to bring him in.

Having good hitting games like last night, being able to play first when Votto needs a rest, and teach the young players how to hit.

I'm tired as hell, but it was well worth it. Had trouble getting to sleep last night at all.

Right there with you. I fell asleep when it was 3-1 in the 5th. I'm a lightweight. 2 nights in a row wasn't happening. Woke up to a commercial on the world series of poker. I can't move my neck this morning because my head fell over on my shoulder. Sucks getting old.

BTW, anyone panic last night?

I thought they would lose and I wasn't happy when Gomes looked like a Cubbie, but that's different than saying a pitcher doesn't have it after facing two batters.

For all the Bruce haters and bashers....

Bruce's last 10 games: .382 avg, 2 HR, 7 RBI and only 6 K's in 38 PA's....

Whatever. It's called being a fan.

All those people are going to be on Gomes now.

And just for comparison's sake...

Votto's last 10 games: .324 avg, 1 HR, 6 RBI and 7 K's in 40 PA's...

If that keeps up and Phillips heats up, the Reds may run away with the Central. He seems like he's seeing the ball better in the last couple of games too.

I agree. Heck, lately even Stubbs has been producing...

Stubbs last 10 games: .290 avg, 2 HR, 6 RBI, but he does still have 11 K's in 32 PA's...

So far it seems like the Cardinals series awoke a sleeping giant alright, just not the one Rasmus was hoping for....

Man, you're old AND you're a lightweight. That's strike 1 & 2.

And don't worry, I kept everyone cool, calm & collected last night, even when the Diamondbacks took the lead.

I'm knocking him down to bantamweight.
