Jefferson - those Enlightenment ideas are pretty powerful.

I hate to be trite, but Washington. The man could have been king, but walked away from power.

Lyndon Johnson-he was really the one who got the civil rights and voting rights bill passed.

Ben Franklin gets my vote, followed by Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln.
