I don't understand why everyone thinks Alonso has much trade value. He's struggled in the minors & he has a major league contract. Those two do not work well together.

.230/.272/.328 in 183 at-bats at Louisville. Only 13 extra-base hits.

Lee throws yet another complete game this time against arguably the best team in baseball. Leads the AL with five. That is with missing the whole first month of the season basically.

I still think we need to get an edge on the Cards and at least give this a shot. This thread should be heating up again after what Buster tweeted...

If Walt is smart, and I think he is, then he will realize that Alonzo is a commodity they could move. There are other players out there that could help the Reds too that they can get. I also am very sure that the Cards will upgrade somehow. Walt is a great GM though and he knows what he is doing.
