I gave many reasons, but I guess y'all just missed them. ACLU alone backs up my statement. The Christians don't have any type of group defending them. Clyde, you have any kids in the public schools?

 

True, the ACLU challenged the posting of the 10 Commandments, but what about the people that posted them in the first place? To say that there is no one defending the Christians is simply not true.

Butters, my post was meant as a comparison to the impact of the ACLU. I defend the Christian faith daily. I guess I just don't get it. I get thrown out of Walmart for handing out leaflets, I get cussed out wearing my Jesus shirts, I get made fun of being weak because who I am, I have doors shut in my and my sons face walking the neighborhood, I have fellow Christians at Church avoid me, I have family members who avoid me because I share Jesus with them, so I guess I don't get it, but I was going by the thread topic.

In a nutshell, no...Christians are not discriminated against in this country. A Christian is perfectly free to say and do anything within the parameters set forth for all religious denominations. As well, they are free to practice their Christianity in any church, belong to any denomination, and are protected by the Constitution as are all other Americans of other religions.

AL, I think that you are simply confused on what discrimination means. I don't think any of us think that you don't have the right to feel as though you should be treated differently. Your examples just simply aren't discrimination.

It doesn't matter if you feel the same as I. By definition the things you have listed are not discrimination. Was you son not allowed to lead prayer while a jewish boy was?

One third Christians also believe they are discriminanted against.

Tru Blue, you would not believe how many examples I have found thru a long research. people getting fired..teachers wanting to help their kids, nurses praying for sick people losing their jobs, man there are so many people suffering and losing their jobs positions due to their Christians actions, if y'all cannot believe this is going on out here, well y'all need to research before y'all reply on here on this topic. I have many more, but heck this is wearing me out proving y'all wrong.

The thread mentioned "US", but in England its worse. Jon Oliver researched and found out 63% of Christians felt they have been discriminated against in the neighborhood/workplace. One third of Christians in schools. British Airways employees being fired for wearing crosses/sharing Jesus with folks on the plane.

The only one of these that really show possible discrimination is the one that I have highlighted. Even then, I'm not sure that it is, as to I don't know what Muslim headbands are referring to and whether or not the Muslims mentioned were flight attendants.

 

Discrimination is when one religious group is allowed to do something that another religious group is not. Polls aren't really valid, as many don't understand what discrimination is. Just because someone feels that they should be allowed to do something and aren't, doesn't make that discrimination.

 

At the risk of being called out again, I'd be interested in seeing any links that you might have that connect to any of these specific examples.
