Nothing. It was investigated by the task force in February, submitted to the NCAA and never went any farther...

So let me get this straight GT. Investigation in February, and Pete Thamel writes this story at the end of May? He wrote a demeaning article about Cal at the end of May in 2009. Wonder what he will write about at the end of May 2011? Sounds to me like it was a "dead" story when the NY Times decided to run it. I really hope we don't have to go through this garbage every year.

Come on man, it's the New York Times?? They are bleeding $$'s like no tomorrow, and are trying desperately to become relevant again; after years of being a partisan lapdog. Stories like this sell papers, and since when did the NYT ever care about credibility??

It would be helpful if you would actually read the pertinent information in the thread prior to posting.

I'm not arguing that the NYT , like many newspapers, is hurting for cash. However, most NYT readers could care less about UK basketball and a freshman kid from Alabama.

I think I at least do that most of the time.
