I'm hearing the step dad challenged him and even tried provoking Preston, looks like he suceeded. He's a good kid who has done extremely well at U of L.

Does this make a difference? I am sure we all have been provoked at some time in our life and is probably safe to say that most of us do not react this way. No charges being filed it tough to excuse this but of course we really don't know what happend.

Yea. I know a player, not going to say names but it rhymes with Jamarcus Dousins and I believed he was provoked and pushed a few times. I guess beating someone's face in was the correct response.

If somebody was swinging at you, you would just walk away? I'm sorry you can play your moral story all you want but I have a hard time believing that. You aren't just going to let them hit you. If you don't know the full story then I believe it's foolish to pass judgement.

Iagree with your point, but from the looks of the picture this was not self defense. The step dad was beaten badly and Knowles could have escaped long before he (the step dad) took the full beating. Now maybe there is more to this, and I hope enerything works out for all parties, but there is no excuse that Knowles beat the step father to that extent IMO.

Come on seriously, how many 40-50 yr old men can take a college athlete and put them in a situation where they are fearing for their life? You take the higher road in this situation. Even if he swings at him, you back off and tell the old man to cool it and if he doenst then you leave. Now if the guy pins him down or something then you have the right to defend yourself but I aint buying that.

I believe the tenth region boy did in fact "exceed". He exceeded the limit of calm, cool and collected. However, your tune would be different if it was Darius Miller. Let's try to keep the UL/UK and GRC/Mason bias out of the argument.

To be fair, I think Preston at least deserves to tell his side of the story before everyone passes judgment.

That statement kind od offends me. All of that bull never come into play at all. Obviously, you don't know me at all. I would not condone that if it was my son who I have taught to walk away. Preston was lucky the step Dad was not packing heat like alot of people do in this day and age. Since I am so totally biased, I will not post anymore on this subject or the next time someone beats the daylights out of someone step dad in self defense.
