No, but I am pro-choice and I was just wondering how many people who are against abortion would take in these kids that these woman are aborting. I think it's a fair question. Are you against it but offer no better solution or are you against it but giving these unwanted kids a happy home? Just asking.....just wondering.

Seriously - you compare carrying a gun into a restaurant with walking in with your partner. You can't see the silliness in the comparison. The topic, however, is race. Sexual orientation is not currently protected under federal law. ENDA may have an impact on that.

 

Can I leave my whiteness at home, do I have a choice as to whether or not I carry a gun into a restaurant. Really no comparison. I would say the same thing about homosexuality. People cannot leave their homesexuality in the car. Many on here might debate that however.

Did he say that specifically, no. Did he say they the right to fundamentally, yes. Forgive me for trying to give an example that everyone can use to follow along. Twist it how you want but thinly veiled racist comments that are "taken out of context" are always what they are at face value to this black man. And this is a black man who doesn't think everyone who disagrees with Obama isn't racist....you're just most likely republican.

I've always liked the notion of the church taking care of its flock, but I also believe that it's same sort of utopianism that the right constantly accuses the left of supporting. I just don't think it will ever happen. I do believe that most churches around the country are doing the best they can with what they have. I also question the effectiveness of church-run programs simply because of the number of people not affiliated with organized religion these days. It's at least troublesome.

 

It would be interesting to see what churches would be capable of if they got as big a cut of everyone's paycheck as Uncle Sam did.

Point is they did, in a way, word it badly. But then, we've all been trained to think that way.
