Good luck to all the KY teams.

This is going to be a huge tournament. I believe there are over 70 teams in the U17 age group.

Believe that Indiana Elite 17u is playing in this tourney too. Not a Ky team, but do have 2 players from Ky playing on the team.

Hoping KY Select can win their pool. Would put them in IU's Assembly Hall Saturday evening.

The would be awesome. Kentucky Elite can play on IU's campus if they win their pool, but not in Assembly. That is a great carrot for the kids. Good luck!

Here is a link to the 17u pools of where and times they play:

Adidas May Classic preview

The adidas May Classic is always one of the best spring events for recruiting junkies and this year the event has grown even larger - 219 teams.

The AMC begins tonight at 6 p.m. and will be played in nine locations, including Assembly Hall and the new Indiana Cook practice facility.

I will be there through Sunday with tons of updates.

The event is loaded with top players including Indiana standouts Cody Zeller, Branden Dawson, Jeremiah Davis, Jeremy Hollowell, Ron Patterson, D'vauntes Smith-Rivera and many, many more.

There are also about a dozen teams with Kentucky connections. Clark County's Vinny Zollo plays for the Indiana Elite/Team Indiana 17s team.

The Shining Stars Sports program will send a few teams, including the Davis team in the 17s division that features Clark County's Robbie Stenzel, Eastern's Remy Abell, Elliott County's Timmy Knipp, Warren Central's Jordan Shanklin and Jeffersonville's Evan Masschmeyer among others.

Yeah I talked to his mom for a while today...

She called me and told me. It didn't end there, ask her about having to use a flashlight, and where they had to stay.
