April 13, 201016 yr I have some papers I have to get notarized. I didn't know if there was a really convenient place that would have a notary and preferably that they would do it free or cheaply.

April 13, 201016 yr Someone at your bank maybe a notary and they can do it for you. Contact your city building and asked we have a couple in Erlanger, Ky and Heritage Bank has them also. JD

April 13, 201016 yr Do you have to be a member at the bank? Doubtful. Seems like it'd take more time than it's worth to confirm if you're a member before witnessing a few documents being signed... You'll probably have to show proof that you're the person you're signing for, but I doubt you'll have to prove that you're a customer.

April 13, 201016 yr Author I guess the banks in Louisville aren't nearly as helpful as where all of you all are located. All of these turned me down and wouldn't do it for a fee either. Chase Bank Stock Yards Bank & Trust US Bank L & N Credit Union 5/3 Bank Park Comm Credit Union (This one especially should have done it. They service Credit Unions and I can do transactions there) The funny thing is I'm at a point where I need to have a local bank so I had decided that as long as the bank was helpful I was going to open up an account there. Unfortunately they weren't and the only time I was a member of a big chain bank the service went dramatically downhill once I moved away from the local branch I opened the account with. So this just reaffirms my belief that chains stink! My insurance agent doesn't have a notary in their office and neither does my friends up here. I do think I have a good lead on a bank that will do it for free though. If they don't I'm going to break down and drive to the small town I'm from and I know they will do it.
April 13, 201016 yr ^Did they give reasons as to why they wouldn't? I've had it done at US Bank, Fifth Third, and Citizens before with no questions asked.
