April 13, 201016 yr Author ^Did they give reasons as to why they wouldn't? I've had it done at US Bank, Fifth Third, and Citizens before with no questions asked.Said it was against policy.
April 13, 201016 yr Said it was against policy. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard....It seems almost everyone at a bank has their notary license. Why would it be against policy?

With the way this country views the banking industry they should be trying to be as helpful as possible IMO.

I agree completely. Did they say it was because you didn't have an account with them? Or just against their policy completely?

April 14, 201016 yr That's totally ridiculous. I'm a notary. When you notarize a document for someone, you aren't claiming the document is legit. The purpose of the notary is to say that the person who SIGNED the document was the actual person whose name is signed. City buildings, banks, TITLE COMPANIES, Court Houses, Insurance Companies. All should have a notary on staff. Go to a small town city building. They'll help you. (or should)
April 14, 201016 yr :thumb: My mom works in the courthouse and her along with most of her co workers are notaries. Yep. My wife also works for the County Judge Executive and is a notary along with a lot of others. :thumb:
