The SEC East will not be this weak again anytime soon I wouldn't imagine. -UF will still be good but losing so much experience they will naturally take a step or two back this year. -S.Carolina has been mentioned as a co-favorite with UF......Need I say more? -UGA has bigger QB problems than UK. -The only experienced QB on UT's roster is transferring. Next up Baby Simms or a 6'6", 160 lbs. true frosh.... -Vandy is Vandy. Could this be why Joker is going with experience? UK could make some waves in the SEC East possibly. Don't see them winning it but they could realistically finish 3rd I think.
April 12, 201016 yr UK just does not have the overall talent to experiment with a young QB. It is too important to get to the 6 or 7 win total and get to a bowl game. That is why I think this will come down to Hartline or Mossakowski. I don't think UK can afford the drop-off in the passing game with Newton this year.

He has no College experience and supposedly can't move like Newton. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see Mossakowski get a shot too. Only time will tell.
April 12, 201016 yr I couldn't have said it any better myself. It's time for UK to go with the younger QB's. And the same UK fans who thought Brooks should have been fired (until he started winning) would be calling for Joker's head. The coaches have to go with the QB who gives them the best chance to win.

April 12, 201016 yr Regardless of recievers, Hartline is terribly indecisive and at times very innaccurate. Newton of course wasn't much better last year, but I thought he faired just as well as a true Freshman. One would like to think that he would surely improve from last year, which would imo, give him the edge over Mike, "I'm afraid of getting hit" Hartline. "Newton wasn't much better". He still has a long time to improve. But to compare Newton with Hartline last year is nuts.
