April 6, 201016 yr I just hope that when Leake struggles, they don't do a back and forth to Triple A situation. Let the kid pitch and learn, give away Harang for a box of peanuts if you have to. You have to figure if everyone can continue to develop and Voltron is able to come back, they have a solid, young rotation to build around.
April 6, 201016 yr The fact that the Reds pitching is not very good....:idunno: Cueto was terrible in Spring, Leake has never thrown an inning, and Bailey is completely unpredictable. I'd say Arroyo is their best pitcher, which tells just how bad they are, then either Harang or Cueto. You hangin out with malachicrunch or what? Harang is not the #1. Arroyo was brilliant in the 2nd half last year. I think Homer Bailey & Cueto will both have very good years.

I just find it funny that every year at this time you all are so giddy for the "potential" the Reds have, only to be utterly disappointed by mid-to-late July. I do agree thought that Arroyo is clearly the team's #1 guy.

They're probably a year away from actually competing, but I don't think the Central is that good (outside of the Cards).

More so than in the past, sure. You're still relying heavily on very unproven talents like Bruce, Stubbs, Bailey, Leake, Cueto, etc., though.

And you also bank on Rolen playing more than 120 games, he has average around 125 the last four years. If he is able to do that, that still means he will miss over a month this year. Of course, I would take him semi-healthy over E5

While I appreciate the shoutout, I don't recall posting anything positive or negative in this thread, or concerning this years club at all. Go Reds!

April 7, 201016 yr Yeah, well I do have sort of a rep on here. I think it's more of an indication of your selection of cohorts.
April 7, 201016 yr Drew Stubbs 8 Orlando Cabrera 6 Joey Votto 3 Brandon Phillips 4 Scott Rolen 5 Jay Bruce 9 Jonny Gomes 7 Ramon Hernandez 2 Johnny Cueto 1

Dusty needs to stick with it.
April 7, 201016 yr I'm excited to watch the game in HD tonight. I have been debating whether or not to actually go to the game, but have decided against it (most likely). I like the lineup but must admit that I'm a bit confused. Why would Dickerson start against Carpenter, but not Wainwright?
