mcpapa Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Looking at the Dick Enberg thread made me think about some of the catch phrases that we associate with sports announcers. Not the one-time things ("Do you believe in miracles", "Down goes Frazier"), but the ones that we're used to hearing every broadcast. I'll start: "This one belongs to the Reds" - Marty Brennaman "Whoa Nellie" - Keith Jackson "Fum-ble" - Keith Jackson "Oh My" - Dick Enberg "Yes!" - Marv Albert
MountainThunder Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 What about 'boom goes the dynamite'? Actually, 'Boo Ya' from Stuart Scott I always enjoyed Or 'String music in Lexington Kentucky' from Joe Dean Or 'Are you serious', from Dicky V
HammerTime Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 "Rise and Fire" "Here comes the pain" Here is some more on the Gus Johnson Soundboard. http://www.gusjohnsongetsbuckets.com/
Getslow Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Ken Harrelson - "You can put it on the board... YES!" Ken Harrelson - "He gone."
