I agree and by Tourney Time will be a very hard out. They play a very tought Schedule and will improve all year if they get some guard play could be very good. Dixon 6'4, Strunk 6'3 and williams 6'5 will give them a very good frontcourt. Get some Guard play and this Team could be real good.:ylsuper:

Mercer should be 1 or 2 ..Have heard they hit preseason conditioning and weight room hard. Britt has told them they will remain in the weight room throughout season which is something they have not done in the past. Also from what ive heard the team has totally bought into Britt and his sysytem and really excited about playing. They have a couple that have already committed to Division 1 schools for baseball and so that stress is off of them and they can focus on their senior season. With a solid middle school program and solid summer program that Britt put in place this summer good things could be happening for the Titans this year and for future years...

I had them at 2 right behind Wayne County. Everything you said about Britt and their middle school program is true. I expect Mercer to play a fast tempo game and the team will be tough for anyone to beat as long as they don't rely on their jumpers to win games. I think Aaron Lee will be one of the top 5 players in the region as well. They will be fun to watch. Have Cinnamon and Honchell signed already? Where are they going?

Mercer (with all their players) just lost to Henry County by 5 in a scrimmage. Wayne has a solid team but lost big to a number of teams last year. I just can't see them as an overwhelming favorite. They're good, but so are a number of other teams. If there was any year that the region could be considered wide open, it's this one. Strong contenders are West (don't laugh, you'll see), East, Mercer, Wayne, Southwestern, Danville. All I can say is that this is the best time of the year for sports.

With the admiral Robert Jones at the helm, there is absolutely no chance the Raiders are a contender. They are much like their counterparts with the pigskin.

West Jessamine 56 Rowan County 52 (fully loaded, at Rowan). The Colts beat a very good team tonight. They epitomize "team".

I do believe you can move WJ up in the 12th region, they may suprise some teams. They played a complete team game, againt a strong Rowan team that was missing one starter. Rowan won the first half - West won the second, end results WJ by 4 as reported. Most things i seen had them about 6th in the region, may want to rethink that one. Not saying they can beat Mercer for the one seed in tourney time, just not sure they are outside the top five.

Boyle County be pretty good when they get Will Dunn.

Fully loaded but how long has Rowan practiced as a team fully? I am sure the had some players just recently come to practice due to football. Nope. I expect East Jessamine to start off slow also as I mentioned due to Jordan Redd and Cameron Thomas playing football. I think Adam Wing was Rowan's qb. It makes a difference.

Rowan has two football players that start, that has not been with the team that long. Adam Wing and Darrell Cross. Cross has missed both scrimmages due to being out of town for the holidays. IMO West is still a team to be watched from what I saw. I to agree that all things being equal, when Wing and Cross get into mental and physical basketball shape, Rowan should be better.
