Brady Quinn traded to Denver

Featured Replies

I'm not sold on D. Anderson and thought they really blew it not getting more out of both of those guys. I don't think they are settled on QB but with Holmgran coming in and all the draft picks they have, it could be a quick turnaround. Cribbs is amazing!

Didn't Browns pick up Delhomme? They should be set for years and years . . . .

Other than having to play for the Browns, you have envy Delhomme. He's going to make $20 million this year, yes this is a great country.

That is roughly $1 million for every pick he threw last year. Sounds about right to me.

Did Browns really give Quinn a fair shot? IMO - No. Surround him with a bit more talent if you really want to see what a QB can do. And I've never been a particularly big Brady fan. I just think they gave up on him too soon.

Interesting to here you say this, consider some of the arguments we have had about Palmer....:sssh:

In all seriousness though, I completely agree with you. He did not get a fair shot there in Cleveland. Has he even started 16 games in his career? Thats not even a full season, and he has had no one to work with. When you have not much talent to throw to, and play in a bad offensive scheme, its hard to do well. Geez it seems like I have said this same thing many of times on here lately. :D

Same concept as with Palmer, but to vastly different degrees. Look at Cleveland's WR's last year - awful. Actually "awful" is a undeserved compliment to them. Cleveland's running game - something the Bengals had all season long - was pretty much non-existent until someone in the Brown's front office got confused and actually made a good call starting Harrison the last three games. Of course, in those last three games, they elect to start 3 different QB's - Brady, Frye, and Anderson. Cleveland really had very little talent on their offense. No way was any QB going to succeed with that cast of characters. Maybe Quinn would suck playing with all-pros around him, but it would have been semi-interesting to see what he could have done on a real team.

They did sign Delhomme I hadn't seen that. I think it's pretty clear they will go after Claussan or Bradford now. They have a lot of picks with Holmgram there. Still not sold on all the WRs they went after.
