I agree some players get left out because of thier stats, but players who carry their teams to the sweet 16 back to back years need consideration also. I believe Justice and Polson and have played plenty of quality oppenents over the past couple yeras. I think Polson had like 40 or 50 against Lex Cath last year. he also carried his team to the final four. Justice has won two Class A state titles. they have played pretty good teams as well as kids in Northern Ky and Louisville and Lexington area kids.

Great players are never hurt by being on strong teams, they still find a way to stand out. Polson is not just a great player he is a once in a coaches lifetime. Complete on and off the court. He is the type of player that has made the mid majors so competetive in recent years.

I have Polson play several times and i have been very impressed by how well plays and how much better he makes the players around him.

The problem is that some players on strong teams are unselfish and don't put up huge numbers. Their greatness doesn't necessarily standout in the stat sheet. So how is a coach in say Hopkinsville going to know about a great player at say Perry Central that may be unbelievably good, but because of the help around him doesn't put up huge numbers? Thats the reason why I think what happens in March should really weigh in heavily.

Polson has had some big games in his high school career and a good showing at the state tournament could help him in the Mr. Basketball voting.

I agree with some good players not having the stats due to their unselfishness but Polson is unselfish and stat producing. Where I can't agree is that with West's opponents for 2 years have focused game plans on stopping him and yet they still haven't.

Watts was very deserving of the POY! Polson is a great player and well deserving also of any awards he may receive, but I believe Watts deserved it.
