The technical was a weak call from the official. Persinger is not a loud person to begin with. This was his first regional tournament as a head coach and he wasn't excited or anything, just wondering what was called. A technical in the first 3 minutes of the game and normally a official will go to a coach and tell him that he is not going to listen to him if the official feels like there is too much complaining but this guy didn't even do that. I was shocked at the whistle.

Not saying language. Some refs don't like to be questioned. They did say it was quick and unexpected.

Well then they either need to grow some thicker skin or get out of the business if they don't liked to be questioned.

I think a lot of people were shocked at the call, especially three minutes into the game and also because Persinger wasn't really doing or saying anything out of the ordinary. Pretty lame call, if you ask me.

Congrats Bears on a very good season. The referees in the 10th region are a JOKE. Very inconsistent calls all year. I've seen less contact in a football game be called interference than what I have seen not called a foul at the regional BASKETBALL tourney(boys and girls). Maybe they are following orders from above but they are allowing way to much physical play under the basket. Undersized teams have no chance at all.:isurrender:

POW...Good Game Scott Eagles, Coach Carr and Staff! See you Saturday....keep it up!

I thought Regions switched officials during tournament time.

^They do so this is not 10th Region officials. I'm not sure who we switched with this year.

I know the 9th and the 16th switched officials but I don't know who the 10th did with...

Wrong. 10th and 11th region coaches elect to keep their officials, which come out of the same association (the Bluegrass Basketball Association).

Why would the 10th want to switch Referees, We have some of the best around. I said some not all and we usually have the better ones come tourney time. Coach Persinger only said, "That was a terrible call and got a "T". Not derserving that early and without warning. The 9th and the 16th is just flat terrible.

Congrats to Coach Carr and the Eagles!

I remember someone telling me 2 years ago in 2008 when the regional tournament was held at Montgomery County that the 10th and 16th switched their officials. Did they just not do it this year then?

No. It was the BBA when it was at Montgomery too.
