Best player on the floor was #11 for NCC. Loved the passion and focus this kid played with. Lots of intangibles.

Yeah, it reminded me of watching Monica Seles play tennis. At some point you just have to turn on your "man ears" and block it out like her son probably does on the court.

The 9th seems to be the lowest scoring region in the state. Playing at BOK arena with its strobe light effect billboards flashing light off the court may be effecting the 3's.(though not for Holmes tonight) Does Rupp have flashing lights shinning on their court?

 

Speaking of the flashing lights, as a spectator, it doesn't do much for me either but give me a headache with all the glare. I watched most of the game with my hand above my forehead as if I was blocking out the sun. I really dig the games being played at the BOK, but for the Semi's I'm seriously considering wearing my sunglasses.

As the final buzzer sounded I strategically made my dash and was the first one out of the parking lot. This game was worth hanging around to the very end. It's all about having a good game plan to escape without hassle.

I'm still scratching my head as to why Boone didn't attack Pangallo in the 2nd half. He had 3 fouls at half. He was generally guarding a guy a head taller, and they never took advantage. Everyone knows as Pangallo goes, NCC goes.

 

Could not agree more. The fact that NC was still in the game when Pangallo's scoring line was 0 2 2 is amazing

You related to Wehry's brother? His #1 objective at any game is fast exiting.

3:27 left in the fourth quarter NCC called a full timeout that let Boone get their energy and wits back. NCC had outstanding defensive intensity and momentum, Boone was sucking air, clearly fatigued, and looking lost.

 

The timeout did not seem to benefit NCC in any way, but Boone got a chance to rest their legs. That opportunity to get a second wind cleared their funk and they were able to fight the rest of the battle.

 

Make Boone call that timeout! Heck, they may have waited too long and NCC may have been able to get a bigger lead with the momentum they had.
