Don't forget that they'll hopefully have a healthy Trammel.

Pike lacks maturity on the floor/field. He gets frustrated very easily when things aren't going his way. Hopefully he'll grow out of this now that he's not the most dominant player on the floor/field.

Good point. With Trammel and Hatton in the backcourt and Pike and Stansberry in the frontcourt they should contend.

The Dixie/St. Henry district is indeed weak....any chance redistricting will take place in the near future? By adding Conner and Highlands into the regional mix thisyear there would have been much better first round match ups, esp. if the region was seeded. Unfortunate three of the top four teams in the region were all on the Holmes side of the bracket.

Newport got the easy side of their draw but they deserved to be there obviously with the convincing win over Ryle. It did stink to have Highlands and NCC have to send someone home and it would have been cool to watch Highlands in this tourney. It is what it is I guess and you just have to hope they get a better draw next year.

Pike had a couple of nice moves to the basket and we all know he is a very nice athlete but he is getting a reputation as being somewhat of a thug. I mean how many games does the kid get called for fouls away from the ball that involve elbows or a push?

Hatton is a very nice player and made some nice buckets tonight. I really like the way he controls his body when he drives and shoots. He was just off target and I saw it in warmups. He was short on everything he put up in warmups and it carried over to the game.

Both of these kids will need to carry the load next year along with the sophomore Stansberry if they want to contend. They play in a weak district so if they can win their District crown next year and get a nice draw in the REgional tournament then then they may be able to advance.

I think he's done alot better job this year and has showed alot of maturity, he played very calm and under control tonight. He missed some shots but, the whole Dixie team just looked off tonight. The elbows and stuff is just his competive side and his drive to win. Pittman seems alot more thugesh than Pike, so lets not single out one player. I think he's a tremendous athlete and has a very bright future

Good luck to all the Dixie seniors. And good luck to Holmes as they move toward their complete defense of the State Championship.

Pittman and J Johnson didn't play that much at all and R Johnson sat a lot of the 2nd half. This game was never in doubt right from the tip off.

When you score 30 points behind the arc you're doing something right.

Unfortunately when you talk to a lot of people around the area you keep coming up with the same discussion about the dirty tactics of some of the players on this team. Sounds to me like there may be some bad influence on the end of the bench.

Would you like to elaborate?

Holmes didn't have a dunk tonight that I can remember, is that one of the few times this season Holmes fans?
