I love how we keep to finding things wrong with the fieldhouse.

 

1) How much were tickets at NKU last year, or even if we had the tourny at Mont Co. I would say at Mont Co it would be at least $6.00.

2) Concession at NKU where way more expensive. Pop is 1.50 and Popcorn is 1.00 at Mason Co. Pop was at least 2.50 at NKU.

3) If you don't wanna eat at the concession stand then go to Pasquales or Greg's Pizza before the game.

 

Huckleberry Inn is another nice selection. Belly up and join the boys for a nice fellowship time.

And I'm not sure that this has been brought up or not, but it's not as if Mason County and Mason County only decided on their own to make ticket prices what they are. These prices are determined by ALL of the 10th region AD's and principals. It's as if the majority of BGP'ers just lump this in with whatever else is wrong with the region being held at the Fieldhouse. If you feel like this is a problem, take it up with your school as well, they had a say in it.

You are correct on the way the prices are set, everyone has input, but I wonder how many tickets those with input are buying? My bet would be their entire family enters for nothing.:lol:

I am pretty sure parking is also free at the Fieldhouse.

Will be interesting to see if the Visitor's Student Body is put behind the Home Team's bench as they were in the girls regional tournament.

Im not trying to find anything wrong with the fieldhouse. From my understanding, ticket pricing is set by the KHSAA. I know the district prices were just as steep in the two locations where I watched our boys and girls play which were not in Mason. It's just too high of a price.

The only reason there are complaints about the fieldhouse now, is because we have been other places, and seen things that Mason County Hosts could improve on. For almost 40 years, there were no other choices and no other opportunities for comparison. It is different now, welcome to the future. If the Mason County faithful had gone to the other venues, chances are they could have brought home some ideas. But, it sounds like Mason County fans are just that only Mason County fans, not the 10th region fans they have claimed to be. They only attend the tournament when it is at home.
