Not much defense, How many did Brewer from Powell score?

It was at Lee County. I didn't go, just reported the score from the KHSAA site.

Played at Lee County. I know Owsley County's Evans had 39.

One of the hardest games to sit through I've ever seen. My nerves are shot. :eek:

Owsley had a 11 point lead with 5 minutes left in regulation and allowed the Pirates to tie it when they went into turnover overdrive. Then they built up a 5 point lead in the first overtime and had trouble with the inbound play and Powell stole it twice. Game tied and a 2nd overtime.

The Owls finally held on to win it and it's a good thing, three starters fouled out late in the second overtime.

Sounds like it was a great game in Beattyville. Sorry someone had to lose this one. Congrats to the Owls, good luck to both teams next week in the regional tourney.

I seen for Owsley where Evans had 39 and 7 assist, Tyler Willams 20, Timmy Murrell 18 and 11 rebounds, Travis Murrell with 14 pts and 12 Rebounds, Marcus Peter with 9 points and 7 steals(and did a tremendous job holding Brewer to only 8pts in regulation), Justin Johnson had 3 points and Dwight Burkhart had a big time freethrow.

 

For Powell Carlisle had 23 points, Reed had 21, Brewer had 18 points and Nolan with 8 points. A few more scored but either I am not for sure or I didn't have time to catch it.

 

A great game both ways and nothing short of a great finish in the 56th Distric. Good luck to both teams come regional next week.

Cardiac Arrest was the best way to describe this game. Neither team could pull away with a lead.
