How long has it been since a district foe has beaten Mason County? How long since they've done it in the postseason? How long since it happened and kept Mason County out of region?

All good questions my guess would be like in the 1990's, when Fleming Co was in the district.

1999-Fleming Co beat Mason Co in the District Finals

2000-St Patrick beat Mason Co in the district Finals

 

I would guess thats the last time St Patrick has beat Mason Co but I don't know that 100%.

Im thinking 2000 or 2001 Jordan Owens and the Saints beat Mason ,But they still made region..Sumo be the man for this...

Mason will beat them as bad as they wish and that will be bad because they don't ever let up! That will come back on them one day though, in my opinion.

I checked 2001-2010, and that 2000 St. Patrick game was the last Mason County loss to a district opponent in any game, regular or postseason. Them missing region is sometime before the Riherds scoreboard, but that streak of making regions has to be crazy long by now.

I think it really hurt the district when they moved Fleming Co to the 16th region. Mason Co is probably 20-30 points better than any team in their district right now.Except for 3-4 teams the 10th region , it is very weak, IMO.

Its David versus Golliath IMO. Sooner or later the giant falls but until then there is no use complaining that Mason keeps winning. They have been fortunate to get the talent there over the last few years. They also have a strong tradition of doing well by coaches and players. Good luck to both teams tonight

1997.... that was the year St. Patrick beat Mason twice and were the district champions. SP beat Mason in the MCIT and then I don't remember if St. Pat beat them in the district or regular season. I do remember St Patrick playing either Mason or Fleming in the district final on a very rainy Saturday, which was the 10 inches of rain that brought on the '97 flood. What I can't remember is if St. Patrick beat Mason to get to the finals or if Fleming did, or if St Pat played Fleming in the semi-finals. It's all a blurr. Can someone help me out here????

Mason has a 73-5 record against St Patrick. St Pat has beaten Mason in the regular season twice, MCIT once and the district twice. Four of their wins have come in the same season. Here are the games:

 

1/11/97 Mason 54- St Patrick 61 MCIT Finals

2/27/97 Mason 53 - St Patrick 57 District First Round

12/9/97 Mason 61 - St Patrick 66 Regular season

12/7/99 Mason 57 - St Patrick 75 Regular Season

03/3/00 Mason 76 - St Patrick 88 District Finals
