Hell, if I'm ever in Boston again, that's priority #1.

I purposely drove instead of flying to Maine to mule beer home.

Anything special I should try to find while I'm in Virginia (45 minutes West of Charlottesville) next week?
With a disclaimer that I don't know much at all about their distro or availability. But here are some VA breweries I've liked.

Hardywood makes good stouts.

Aslin has awesome IPAs.

And Devil's Backbone has some decent beer.

I've heard good things about The Veil Brewing but haven't ever had anything.

^Devil's Backbone is about a 45 minute drive from the hotel I'm staying in. I may try to make my way there if I get in early enough on Monday.

Hoping to snag me a pack of the Fiona beer that Listermann's is releasing tomorrow morning. Anyone else gonna try to get some?

Just in case you aren't aware, Devil's Backbone is now owned by ABI. It wouldn't stop me from visiting, but I know many craft beer fans who would have a problem with it.

Ahh thanks, didn't realize that. Yeah, think I'll skip the drive and hit up a couple of the smaller ones I found a lot closer to where I'm staying.

Anyone ever heard of Bedlam Brewing Company or Seven Arrows Brewing?

From a Beverage Director acquaintance in D.C., who travels to the area:

In Staunton, Red Beard Brewing Co.'s: 221B Baker Brown Ale.

In Crozet (between Staunton & C'ville), Starr Hill Brewery: Jomo Lager & The Love German Wheat.

If you're day tripping into C'ville, spend some time at, and try -

* James River Brewing Co.'s: Fluvanna Fluss German Wheat; Green Eyed Lady Belgian Strong; River Runner ESB.

* Three Notch Brewing Co.'s: Hydraulion Red Irish Ale; No Veto Brown Ale; Ghost of the 43rd Pale Ale; Brew Betties Maibock Munich Lager.

Maybe not worth a trip to, but look for: Blue Mtn. Barrel House's: Kolsch 151, and Pro Re Nata's Old Trail Pale Ale.

fkw's spot on with suggesting beers by The Veil & Aslin. They're based around Richmond, along with Lickinghole Creek. They may not be available as far west as you'll be.

Sounds like you better get down there pretty early.

Got there an hour before the release and was able to snag 2 four packs. Pretty solid NE IPA

Braxton Labs released their 2nd NE IPA today. Had one on draft and it was very good. Liked it more than their 1st. They are selling in 4 packs as well.

I grabbed two four packs and I like it but not as much as the first one. Once it warms up, it's yummy.

I was in Baltimore this past weekend so I had to have the local cheap beer (I hope it's their cheap beer) Natty Boh.

I didn't grab any 4-packs. Probably should have got at least one.

Wife and I are tentatively planning on hitting up Streetside for the 1st time Saturday morning. Always enjoy checking out the new places in the area.

If your wife likes fruity beers, they have a Rasberry Beret that my wife absolutely loves.

Their Suh Brah is the best beer from them that I've had, but I bet it won't be on tap.
