I expect Dixie to come at Wellbrock and Thelan and try to get in their head like they did Pittman and JJ in the Holmes game.

 

Not to detour this thread, but I expect Dixie will try to get into Wellbrock's nogg'n, but I epxect them to try to beat the snot out of Thelan.

 

Ultimately how CovCath does on Saturday will depend on how they react to Dixie on Friday. Who will play and in what role? Stepping up the outside, or relatively outside, game will take pressure off the inside.

 

If CovCath comes out of Friday with a win and some increased confidence in some of the young men, Saturday will be a good game. If they play Friday like they did against Boone, well......

If Mason County ever has another ballgame any time soon, maybe I can ask around. Black's injury has given Bluford some time in the spotlight. That's the one positive side of injuries - other folks get the chance to step up.

Mason County also plays on Friday evening, a road game at Harrison County. Haven't played in 10 days, so hopefully some rust removal will occur.

I think the Colonels will take to the Fieldhouse and give the Royals a run for their money. The Royals haven't played now since the 2nd and will get a tune-up with Harrison County the night before, BUT, if Black is still out for the Royals, I think it levels the playing filed dramatically.

 

I'm taking the Colonels in the upset 55-54.

 

Losing Black hurts,but don't underestimate Bluford.He to can play,and is about 3-4 inches taller. Rumor has it,that the Royals may be back at full strength by District.I pick the Royals by 11.
