Careful D series, going to a Holmes game can be addicting. Fun team to take pictures of regardless of who they play. Very talented and animated bunch of athletes.

 

I know what you mean. I saw more dunks in the game tonight than I have in the last 5 years of all the other games I have been to! Thanks for the compliment paNDA.

Here's the series of the T dunk. You can see he basically did a 360 on the rim. He definitely hung on the rim but I thought the ref should have let it go. He hung on the rim just as much on the first dunk and they didn't call it. All that it did is put him on the bench to untie his shoes when we could have probably seen more jams!

 

Great set of shots that shows why it was an AWFUL call. If he lets go right away his momentum lands him flat on his face every time. "Make up" calls make me furious, and this clearly fits the bill IMO...

Hard to tell from still photos as to how he ended up on the other side. Was his by his own actions or was it from momentum. If its the former its a T. If its the latter its probably not a T. Its one of those "had to be there" plays.

We'll see where Holmes truly is next week end though. They play Highlands Fri night, Warren Central Sat night, and then Boone tues.

 

Win those three handily and I'll feel more comfortable about saying Holmes is playing like we all expected at the beginning of the season. Holmes sure did look awfully good tonight though.

I was looking forward to the HHS-HHS matchup. However, with the way the Birds have been playing I'm less excited.

I agree Clyde. With Grubbs gone and the Birds showing inconsiatency with scoring the hype seems to have been taken out of this game. However, it is being played at the Sauna in Caketown and the Birds seem to play well at home.

 

I am simply enamored at the still shots that were posted of this game D-series. Great work. I gotta say it is nice for us fans who can't make it out to many games to have members like Panda and D-series posting such nice work.

I was there it was an awful call. She clearly had the last dunk on her mind which the hanging on the rim was a little excessive. This one was not and she couldn't blow the whistle fast enough. You could almost hear the whistle start as he was going up for the dunk.

I am sure Coach Carr will use this to get his team ready down the road.

After looking at the pictures, I sense that the crowd was a lot smaller than what I thought it would be. Yes Holmes has a big gym, but this was a huge game between two of the top five teams in the Commonwealth, so to me at least, this was a poor crowd or at least that's what I see from the pictures.
