A great effort by Newport late. They just came up a little short. DeSales free throw shooting was terrible.

What ashame the Wildcats couldn't advance.

It wasn't a big upset. DeSales had beaten NCC, which in turn had beaten Newport. The teams were fairly even on both paper and on the court.

Good game wish Newport would have advanced but you fought hard and the 9th region is proud of your effort. Did hear part of the game is Tucker back with the team now?

He walked out of the gym and quit during the middle of a game a few weeks ago.

So much for my All "A" predictions...I had Newport advancing all the way to the finals.

 

I think Desales might be a little better than a lot of us had thought. They've now beaten NCC, Newport, and Ryle (who is playing well lately).

 

Tough loss for the Cats but now it's time to get focused for a district and region championship run.
