You would think she has to be. If you look at age she could be a daughter, or niece. Not sure though. But if I were a betting man I would bet on it.

You cannot say Sandlin and leave out Dixon.

 

I thought this thread was for the younger players, not juniors or seniors. Dixon is the best on Walton but being a junior, her future is now. Sandlin, being a freshman, has a bright future ahead of her.

The Notre Dame Academy freshman. NDA's freshman team is pitching a shutout so far and they have 2 freshman playing jv and 1 playing varsity

Owsley County has a 5'10 sophomore guard who is averaging a double-double. Peyton Wright is averaging 21 points and 13 rebounds.

The Holmes players are Deja Turner (7th), Alexus Mayes (7th), Deena Kilburn (8th), Molly Diamon (8th), Tamara Holder (9th), and Bree Englemon (8th)

There is a girl on the 8th grade team Daja Mcclendon (6th) is one of the best point guards I've seen at that age. I think she might play jv when 8th grade season is over.

some of you are listing middle schoolers, do they play for their high school teams already? i think it makes more sense to name rising frosh, soph, and the occasional 8th graders, but a 6th grader might be a little much. i agree that moss, crittenden, and muench will be great players to watch over the next few years. nky will be a strong area for girl's basketball in the next few seasons!

What about Samantha Drake's sister, Cierra? She didn't get much time on the court when I saw them play over the Holidays but she has size.

 

Yeah, Cierra has improved a great deal from last year to this one, and I think she could end up being better than her sister. Cierra's gotten a few spot starts this year while Sam's been dealing with injury troubles.

 

Nelson has another freshman starter in AJ Lewis, who is playing a lot of point guard, but is better suited to play the 2G spot as she's got good scoring skills.

A ways off but my other niece, and Jenna Crittendon's little sister, is pretty awesome and she's only in the 1st grade!

The incoming freshman class to NCC. There are around 4 from St Therese, 3 or so from St Joes and a few from Holy Trinity. I have seen some of these girls and was impressed with some of the guard and post play. I know some of these girls play AAU together to build up some chemistry. Hopefully these girls grow together as a team.

The 6th grader that I mentioned is getting significant Varsity minutes ( Boley-Larue County).

Southwestern starts 2 seventh graders on the varsity and the first sub is a 7th grader Their record is 16-7 and they have started every game. Adison Corder is ranked in the top ten 3 point shooters on KHSAA stat report, Destiny Molden is the other starter and Brittany Combs plays about half of every varsity game. SW has 3 seventh graders on the floor a lot of time. Does anyone know of any other team that is this young on the varsity level?
