I heard they decided on an assistant position coach from a school in Alabama. I previously heard they wanted someone with head coaching experience, anyone hear any news about this job?

They have had a big turnover rate the last few years it looks like they would get someone with head coaching expereince. But you never know in this business.

This program has a good football history and should get a big name head coach to turn it around.

Would that be Jep Irwin (not sure if the name is correct) that was head coach at South Laurel and I think he is an O coordinator at a school in Alabama.

If that is who they are talking about then that will make Dunbar a Tony Franklin school. That could be interesting

With the new coach coming out of Alabama... will he bring his own staff with him? Or will the current staff of assistant coaches be retained? Any word on the street?

When is an announcement going to be officially made as to who the new head coach is?

Dunbar really hasn't had as much success as people like to believe. Hopefully they will make a good hire and the new coach can build this program into the one that it could/should be.

The school made an announcement yesterday, Tuesday. In process of meeting with current coaching staff.

What is the announcement then?

Was the annoucement, "We are currently meeting with the current coaching staff"?

I think they where one missed PAT away to play for another overtime for the AAAA state championship in 1996,

They have been known to be good form time to time.

This information is entirely inaccurate. Trust me... I know.

The staff under Coach Howell was fired as well, no coaches have been met with because there is no staff in place.....also the guy being mentioned is not from Alabama but an assistant from Henderson Co., I believe the defensive coordinator.
