Don't know. They all seemed to the same player to me - big, long, and strong.

Nice win by the Birds...about what I expected.

 

Highlands is going to start showing why they were picked as one of the only few threats to Holmes this year in the 9th. They are very deep and talented everywhere on the floor when they actually have their full roster.

This is not a strong shooting team. The best shooter is the junior Riedinger. Fredrick , Murphy, Bir, and Ward on the freshman team look to be good shooters.

 

Coach L has forgotton more about basketball since dinner tonight than I will know in my lifetime, but (for what it's worth) I would definately be playing Riedinger. He is a dead eye shot. With the defenses collapsing into the paint to stop Thelan and Wellbrock, he would get open looks. Great effort by both teams tonight. I have enjoyed watching Kowolnek and Watson since their sophomore year. Grubbs is agile and quick. He is not just a banger to muscle around the opposing center. Grubbs can run the floor, jump and had some very smooth tips and put backs. Another great game by Thelan. Both student sections were in rare form. A very enjoyable evening (nothwithstanding the final score). I don't think you could get more entertainment for $5.00 than the fans enjoyed this evening. :thumb:

HHS obviously won with defense but offensively the won with two key areas: fast break points and points off of inbound plays.

Anyone that has Alex Connelly's ear needs to tell him that he can make an impact putting the ball on the floor from the wing and getting to the hoop. I finally saw him do it tonight and took a great defensive play to stop him. That's his game. Use what the good lord gave you, son.
