Holmes/Villa Madonna Predictions

Featured Replies

Both teams won sunday and will meet at 6:15 monday at Lloyd. Holmes beat Pendelton County in a pretty good game by around 10. Pittman did not play. Villa beat Lewis County by about 25. Villa obviously has a tough one on Monday. How bad will it be?

You are kidding right? It will be as bad as they want it to be.

Should be enjoyable watching Bryan against the Dogs..I'm calling 35 shots from the field!

How many of those 35 shots taken from the field, will he make?

How many of them will be rejected by the Holmes "D" and finally how many of those missed shots will be rebounded by Villa?

But the biggest question of all is; why is Holmes (the current state champion and big time 9th Region favorite) playing in this very non competitive tourney?

Tradition and commitment! Bryan Station looked very strong today and if it comes down to Holmes and Bryan Station it should be a good one.

Holmes vs. Villa Madonna Predictions

If they are playing a golf match I'll go with Villa. If they are playing basketball I will go with the upset and take Holmes. :ohbrother:

Villa will represent and they do have the states leading scorer playing for them. Perhaps Holmes needs a game like this to get their heads together. Yes Holmes by many points but Villa can and will put up a fight.

They have played in it the last two years. They have gone 70-5 with a state title and a state runner-up. I don't think we need to worry about what tourneys Holmes chooses to play in. I guess they weren't invited to the AIT.

They played in it last year and won the state championship and it wasn't that competitive last year either. I don't think it is a big deal. I think the big deal is Holmes getting there act together before Princeton, Christian Co and some of the other top 9th region teams show up on there schedule, hopefully vs lesser competition it will help them work on some of the unforced mistakes they have been making.

They better step it up or they will get worked by Princeton/CC and some 9th Region teams. I think they have the most talent on the floor but getting them all on the floor at the same time playing together is another thing.

I don't think any of the top three teams in the 9th region are playing good right now.

Based on what Homes has done this year, they will win by double digits but by less than 20. They haven't beaten a team by 20 yet this season. They did break the 60 point barrier for the second time this season versus Pendleton Co. Villa gave up 92 and 81 in their two losses. Could Holmes finally beat a team by more than 20 and score more than 64 in a game?
