Talent, facilities, et al mean nothing when the administration you work under is incompetent beyond measure! Dr. Oliver Lucas is far to professional to express this but anyone in the know has already figured this out. Nothing but the best to Coach Lucas as he continues to bless his students with his teaching, coaching and leadership abilities. We all know he loves the students of Bryan Station!

Word is that he could be possibly joining the new staff at WKU?

Wasn't it last season when their hoops coach resigned then came back? Is there some friction between the coaches and the admin?

Bryan Station's basketball coach, Champ Ligon, was forced out only to have the community come to his rescue.

 

I would think it is fair to say there have been some questionable administrative decisions at Bryan Station

I interviewed with Coach Lucas when he first came. He offered me a job but I decided to take a year off and enjoy my kids. I could tell he was going to do a good job as he was very professional and prepared. Station has a ton of talent and lots of new things including a new school there. It's a tough place though if you haven't been around there. Lexington public football is tough if you haven't been around it. To much to get into but it could be so much better with support! Best of luck to Coach Lucas. He coached at Colorado when Darrian Hagen, Eric Bienemy etc where there. He was also a sports agent for a bit. Interesting guy with a lot of connections.

I would love to see him go to the new HS in Shelby Co.

They have a new field. This was the third season they played on it.

As a defender fan, we really hope that one of his coordinators will take over to keep this thing rolling in the right direction. Russell Rigdon and Jordan Johnson have both been coordinators for him since coach Lucas arrived, and Chris Ballard has been here from the beginning as well. Lets just hope the administration pushes this forward!

As long as the Fayette County school system is involved, don't expect anything sports related to be pushed forward!!
