Johnson Central beat a 2-9 Scott and a 6-6 Cov Cath team in the playoffs and loses to Highlands 42-14 and you are declaring them the 2nd best team in 5A?

Not to mention the ONLY team Johnson Central beat in 5A or higher with a winning record was an Ashland team that lost in the first round of the playoffs.

The spin here is amazing.

Not necessarily saying that to be the case. I haven't seen the teams in the west play for the most part. Just saying I thought Johnson Central was the 2nd best team Highlands played.

Yes, you said that, but then you added you thought they should have been #2 in 5A now that the season is over.

The 4A people got it.:p

Yeah, probably after they read this thread and you clarified what you wanted.

That's baloney. They may have been the last two years, but that's a dang far distance from ALWAYS.

I was being sarcastic. I absolutely don't believe they were the last two years. But at worst, it's a tossup.

No. Last year the second best team in 5A was Bryan Station. The gage for second place in 5A is whoever plays Highlands the closest in the east bracket. That is always and every year.

Or was that after you edited your initial post to make your intentions clearer?:D Just funning with you Ram. Just roll with it. :dancingpa

Some Highlands thought so; I didn't. I thought JC was the second best team in 5A last year..... and again this year. Or at least gave Highlands the toughest game of all the 5A teams that Highlands played.

If a team from the west played Highlands closer than any team from the east, then I'd pick the team from the west. But it hasn't been the case the last two years.

I'm always rolling.

No, they got it before I edited it, in fact, they got it right off the bat, just a smarter bunch of people I think.:D

Basically, the west gets one shot to do that. I fail to see what that proves. Because Johnson Central scores with 10 seconds left to make it 21 instead of 28 they're better than John Hardin? Is that the message?

Johnson Central's rushing offense was very powerful and difficult to stop. However, they are one dimensional, and this year their defense was not good.

Personally I would love for the KSHAA to change the format around and just draw out of the hat to see what district plays who and where. Yes I know that it would be tough because of the distance of driving on Fridays nights, so play on Saturdays afternoons, but is it fair to always be playing the same regions vs the same regions each year!

I think it would fun to see how the other regions would match up against each other!

The message is that based on watching both teams live and on tape, I think JC is better than JH. JC got one shot to beat Highlands just like JH did. I thought JC was better. Sorry if that offends you or JH fans. But it's the way I see it. I've got zero reason to be biased against JH or any team from the west by the way.
