Was anyone at the game who can share some details?

I thought Robinson for Conner was back this year, did he graduate?

Robinson is out with a shoulder injury. He reinjured the shoulder he had surgery (last year) on against Gallatin Co. during a scrimmage. They need him in the lineup to contend with anyone.

The game was a pretty good one until a key play that took place during the 3rd quarter. After facing an 8 point deficit at the half, Conner came out to start the Q3 with a 4-0 run and they were climbing back in the game. During a loose ball scrum, a Dixie player was on the floor trying to get the ball, and the big kid for Conner (Hodges) ran to the ball and kicked the ball (could not tell if it was inadvertent or not, looked like it was to me but not 100% sure). The official (Perry Wing), called a foul and a technical foul on Hodges that resulted in him picking up his 3rd and 4th fouls on the play. After he went out of the ballgame, Dixie took over as they clearly gained a size advantage. Conner shot themselves out of the ballgame, they took lots of contested shots that were not smart shots, and took way to many three's. Conner needed 5 Timmy Lang's, because he was the only one who came to play, and ironically he didn't even start the game?

Dixie's Pike, Trammel and Hatton were their key guys. Pike had a really good game working the inside while Trammel and Hatton controlled the backcourt. The Hatton kid played very solid. He had two three's, and is a good free throw shooter. He also handled Conner's press very well.

So, he must have first seen contact that he deemed to be a foul. Was the Hodges kid also on the floor? Did he dive on the Dixie kid? I'm having trouble picting a foul where one player is on the floor and the other is standing up.

Did the "kick" follow the contact that was deemed to be a foul?

The way I saw the play was that the Dixie player was on the floor and the Conner player was moving towards the ball while on his feet. I do not remember him diving on the Dixie player. Looked to me like he was going in to try and get the ball and while he was bending over the ball got kicked and went flying. He must have made contact with the Dixie player when attempting to get the ball. I just didn't think the T should have been called. However, it was a bang, bang play that made it a tough call for the official. The "kick" happened simultaneously with the foul. They were not separate.

Was at the game. The kick appeared to be inadvertant as the Conner player went in after the ball. It almost looked as if he lost his footing. Again, I agree. It happened really quick. None-the-less, this was a dagger for the Cougars.

I will agree that Conner could have used 5 Timmy Langs, but he did start the game. Conner went with a 4 guard lineup with Robinson and Russel out.

Did you name the official for a particular reason?

Did you name the official for a particular reason?

No.

No.

I thought maybe he calls a lot of them or has a knack for calling them.

Did you name the official for a particular reason?

Is there a particular reason he shouldn't?

My fault, sorry bout that one. Just didn't remember him being out there to start the game.

Is there a particular reason he shouldn't?

It just sounded a little personal. I got no dog in the fight but when you name the ref I think it sends a negative tone.

I don't think refs have a problem with it. They're not out there wearing masks to hide their identity .
