Thats a thought , but we don't how it works money wise with the TV people. I don't think it would make that big of a difference at the gate,the people that are actually going to the game have family or close friends playing,and of course the die hard fans. Everyone else (IMO) won't be willing to endure the hassles of drive time,very cold weather,parking hassles etc etc. just because it's not televised. (JMO) What do you think ?

Not an expert on these things, but my guess is that they haven't been able to attract some sort of sponsorship to offset the cost of the production.

 

Think about it. The regular season games that are broadcast on ICN-6 have Remke Markets as the major sponsor. So, if they weren't able to find someone willing to step up, then Insight may not want to put it out there.

It's a shame , we have the #6 team in the country( per USA Super 25 ranking ) playing for a 3 pete and nobody wants to air the game on tv.

Do you think it is already too late for a miracle to happen and somebody sponsors this game ? How much time is needed to prepare?

I know in years past a cable system in Louisville, I believe Insight, had the rights to the games. I don't know how it will work in Bowling Green. FSN usually has the games on delay for a week or so after they are played.

It's too late. The schools have to designate I believe for TV as well as local radio unless you have been grandfathered in. The fee for radio is $500.00 to the KHSAA.

 

Highlands has their own internet crew and videocast crew. They should have paid the fee if they want to broadcast.

 

Otherwise, get it through the KHSAA site.

I think there just wasn't time this year, since the broadcast is brand new. Maybe next time.
