Final.

I followed the updates and listened to the last half of the 4th. I was very surprised it came down to the wire like it did. Maybe it's a good thing. LCA hasn't been tested very often this season. This was a great game to have the week before the state title.

Congrats to LCA!! 4 turnovers just about did you in but you hang on to win.

Also, congrats to Hazard on a very well played football game. I honestly didn't think tha this one would be that close, Hazard obviously has a very good football team.

Way to go LCA Eagles!! :thumb: I hope you roll into Bowling Green on Saturday and win a state championship.

Congratulations to LCA! I am pulling for you next weekend.

COngrats to LCA. Might be what they needed to get focused.

I think Hazard might have been a lot better than we were giving them credit for on here. All this talk about LCA not being focused for this game is crazy. If LCA couldn't get focused for the team who knocked them out of a chance to win the title last year, then they've got serious problems. They sure seemed ready to play last week. Hazard deserves some credit for being one of the top teams in 1A this year. Congratulations to LCA on the win and another chance at a state title.

I agree with you. Hazard was very good, and could very well have tied the game at the end. LCA hung on and their defense came through.

Rushing

Hayden 28/177 yds/2 TDs

Passing

Witt 12/17/177 yds/2 TDs/1 int [Witts first interception of the year!]

Receiving

Burdette 6/77/1 TD

Duff 1/26/1 TD

Returns

Burdette KO 98 yds/1 TD

Very exciting game to watch and Hazard was better than anyone was giving them credit for. LCA has a great bunch of players that on defense just swarm to the football. The QB for LCA is just a gamer and can make things happen as for Hayden what a load to bring down. Very impressed with #1 Burdette good receiver and can understand the respect he gets as a kick off returner and punt returner man is that young man quick and fast. I wish LCA the best in next weeks game and since everyone at LCA showed us great hospitality I will be cheering for them. Thanks for being so kind and considerate to us while we were there scouting for Beechwood. I wish LCA the best. JD

Wow, that is impressive that he went 13 plus games without throwing a pick.

LCA was penalized 15 yards at the start of the 2nd half because they came out of their half-time meeting late, and delayed the start of the 3rd quarter. How does THAT happen?

Sorry I couldn't get you heated seats or Port-a-potties. Maybe next year....

Congrats to the Eagles. Now bring it all home next week. Good luck.

While I am glad that LCA won the game and advanced to the championship game I have to feel for the kid from Hazard that dropped the pass that may have led to Hazard either tying or winning the game. From the way the radio crew described the game that player had played one heck of a fotball game. I am sorry that I don't remember the name but my only message to him would be to just look at the season you had and the game that you played vs. LCA. I wasn't there and don't know but from the radio broadcast I think I am safe in saying that Hazard wouldn't had been where they were at this season or in a position to win vs. LCA if it hadn't been for him. Nothing is going to make him feel better now but hopefully he will be able to look back to his season and what they accomplished with pride, he certainly should and the Hazard fans should build this kid up as well. I am sure that they will.

Congratulations to LCA and all of their fans.
