Hard to "pigeon hole" the HHS defense, but I would say it most closely resembles a 3-4 or 3-5 on most occasions. That said, a few weeks ago they were running a defense best characterized as a 0-7 with no down lineman and everyone running around like bees were chasing them.

 

Regardless of the initial alignment, you normally will find 11 helmets flying toward the ball when the whistle blows.

 

P.S. No pix of Randy Myers, Norm Charlton and Rob Dibble? I'm disappointed in BGP. :lol:

Well, in order for a team to be considered the mythical "Greater Cincinnati" champion, that team has to be located within the Greater Cincinnati area. At this point, all of Highlands' potential Class 5A opponents are non-Greater Cincinnati teams, which excludes them being considered for this mythical title in the event they defeat Highlands.

 

And just for the record, if I got to vote for mythical "Greater Cincinnati" champion at this point, I'd have to vote for Anderson, given that St. X recently lost to another Cincy team (Elder) and Anderson continues to be unbeaten. If Elder beats Anderson this week, then I'd vote for Elder.

 

I think the only claim Highlands legitimately had to the title of mythical "Greater Cincinnati" champion vanished when St. X lost to another Greater Cincinnati team (namely, Elder).

 

Oh, and by the way, I totally agree with the previous poster on BGP who said that real championships (i.e. winning the KY Class 5A title) are wayyyyyyy more important than mythical ones.

Can anyone come up with a better Linebacker core than the ''NASTY'S''? If so, I like to here about them. Quick, fast, hard hitting tough against the run and the pass. They try to take your head off and then quick to lend a hand to help you up off the turf. Kind of like football being played smooth and gracefully. Like Swanlake!

I don't know, but I'd have to think that Louisville St. X's linebacking group is very good. Does anyone "in the know" care to comment?

You should put the TM symbol after the NASTY'S to trademark the label. After all the hard work you've been doing to promote the label, I would hate to see someone use it for something or someone else.:thumb:

Probably too late on the Nasty TM. Whitworth of the Bengals has been using that term all season to describe the play of their offensive line this year.
