As a coach his credential are impeccable. Even though he wasn't great at SC, neither has spurrier. He'd be a great get for Memphis.

 

As for a broadcaster, I love him. I thought his peptalk segment last year was GREAT. He does have a voice issue, but his content is always entertaining and enlightening.

I'm still hearing a lot about Hugh Freeze, and suprisingly today Ed Ogeron's name has popped up in a few circles. People are saying the Memphis AD loved Ogeron's success in recruiting at Ole Miss and now at Tennessee and his knowledge and ability to lock up Memphis recruits.

Fulmer and Tubberville are both out as far as my Memphis connections go, and I have decent ones. Not great but decent. New one hot off the rumor mill is Freeze won't be made head coach but will be offered OC by whomever they hire.
