The ball wasn't bobbled. I know you have to say that, because you're a Bama fan, and that's okay. Don't act like it was a good call though. Did it cost LSU the game? Probably not, but it removed any chance they had.

Exactly.

And anyone that doesn't see that the elite teams in the confrence are somehow getting WAY more than their share of the botched calls are not choosing to see things as they are.

That is my point too. I have no idea if LSU would have scored or not. For people just to say it doesn't matter b/c they couldn't score and their QB is terrible is so wrong it can't be justified. They completely blew the call and it should have been overturned on replay.

I couldn't agree more. I'm not saying Florida or Bama would have a loss if it weren't for these terrible calls. I'm saying we don't know b/c they were given calls they shouldn't have been given. For people to argue that makes zero sense to me.

Look. I know what I saw, and as the play happened I wasn't worried. He didn't have control, and the ref ruled that way and the replay showed that, this junk about keeping Bama and any other school is just that junk.

Every time someone posts this error I will respond, hey I'm retired waiting for church tonite. :deadhorse: :idunno: :jump:

To be fair I will watch the game again and find out all the bad calls against the Tigers that cost them the game against Bama even though they couldn't cross midfield after their QB/RB went out.

Seriously, SSC, LSU had no chance of winning once Jarrett Lee came into the game. As I said before, he is one of the worst quarterbacks in College Football history.

Who cares? Bama's QB is one of the worst I have ever seen for a top 2 team. Tee Martin won a title after Peyone left and nobobody thought that was possible. Nobody gave Boise a chance a few years ago against Peterson and Oklahoma. Utah had no chance last year against Bama. That's why they play the games. To justify a terrible call by saying LSU has a bad QB is laughable.

How can ANY person think that it wasn't a pick? I agree, I don't think LSU would have won regardless, but if that is a bobbled ball then I haven't seen a catch all year.

Maybe the next controversial call will be explained away by the fact that one team's waterboy was way less effective than the other.

There was no bobble at all. The ball was grabbed with 2 hands and immediately tucked to his waist. There are a lot better replays on youtube than the one listed earlier. The ball never bounced around at all.

LSU still had plenty of chances to win the game so the loss can't be blamed on this call--but it was a horrible call made worse by the fact that the replay official should have corrected it.

I haven't watched my tape as of yet but I spent some time on the Bama sites and the LSU fans are going to town being upset.

Someone posted a site explainning the call, but here is what is said. Due to the Wideout #8 of Bama being out of Bounds on the throw he cannot come back into play, he is dead and since he touched the ball as the DB was also the ball becomes dead.

Article 3 A or something close.

Didn't know we had so many LSU fans on here.

That's funny.

1. I don't think the WR touched the ball.

2. That's totally different than saying it was bobbled. It wasn't.

I'm not a fan of either team, but I'm a huge fan of getting replays called correctly. I'm a bigger fan of letting the players decide the outcome of the game rather than just saying it doesn't matter b/c they couldn't score anyway.

No really, Jared Zabransky and Bryan Johnson-who were pretty good college quarterbacks, by they way-are Peyton Manning and Sam Bradford compared to Jarrett Lee. If LSU had gotten that ball back, I highly doubt that Heisman front-runner Jarrett Lee would have been able to even complete a pass on Bama's defense. I am not justifying the call-I think it was a pick-but this conspiracy theory you have about the SEC messing with the outcomes of games so that Alabama and Florida win out is laughable.

SSC, notice I never said there was no bobble, so I stand by what I saw on the play as it happened. I was just sharing info I gathered from the Bama sites that are free/open to anyone. Go to them and you can see all kind of pix. Some said he was changing the ball in his hands which can appear to be a bobble.

Bashing our QB is your right SSC but he is all we have. The kid has never lost a game in high school in Texas and was a year behind Chase Daniels and broke several of his records, and he is a junior starting for the first time this season and we are sure glad he is coming back with Julio/Mark/Trent.

We rank last in red zone TDs in the nation before the LSU game, one reason is Coach Saban has relied on our D and setteling for Field Goals.

You're missing my point. Just to say they have a bad QB they couldn't have scored is absurd. How do we know that? Are you capable of predicting every outcome of every college football game? To think that Florida and Bama aren't getting hand wrapped calls is laugable.

You did say he didn't control it. So either he bobbled it or he didn't. On every replay I have seen he never didn't have control of it and it wasn't close. My point in taking the "shot" at Bama's QB was sort of a joke. I'm not capable of just proclaiming it would be impossible for a team to score b/c their QB isn't that good. Nobody is. To do so IMO is kind of dumb.
