I think it is fixed, as in there is cheating going on. I know that's a bit of a conspiracy theory, but it's really bad. I don't understand how replay officials are missing these calls in Florida and Bama games.

Somebody please tell me that the officials didn't help Alabama in this one in a major way. If there's a way to get the Tide and the Gators both to the BCS Champioship game, this looks like the year.

I agree that it's impossible to get all of the calls right on the field. It's very tough. Watching the replay however gives you a chacne to correct the call. The interception in the LSU game yesterday was a terrible call. I'm not even sure terrible describes it. He got in both feet and migh have had one foot in two different times b/c he made sure to drag it before he went out of bounds. In the Florida/Arkansas game people can say what they want but when Florida had to get a TD to tie it they got very single call including two calls that were made up. I'm not saying it's fixed per say, but I think they are trending towards giving those two teams calls. That is bad IMO.

 

The Iowa/Indiana game was even worse. The B10 stood to gain a lot if Iowa ran the table. They got every call and then some on replay.

 

To say there's cheating going on may be a bit much, but something is not right. I'm not great at using spell check either.

Only time folks don't like is when they don't get it. That one point had little to do with the end.

 

I agree with you. The "sheet" will say go for two in that situation. Going for 1 wouldn't have hurt either, but I don't think he can get criticized for going for it, IMO. Had no effect on the outcome of the game. Miles, IMO, was trying to get all the points he could get, and at the time, Bama hadn't shown the ability to put the ball in the endzone to that point.

Yes it does. They wouldn't be guaranteed a spot in the title game if LSU beats Bama and Florida. In fact they probably don't get a team in the title game under that scenario if UC runs the table.

 

Had LSU beat Bama, and went on to beat UF while winning their other games, they would have been at worst #2 in the BCS IMO. Cincy is good, but LSU would have a great resume.

Your tv's must have had a different angle than mine, because I couldn't tell if he had a foot in or not. Hard to believe they didn't have a camera down that sideline.

I hate it, but I can live w/ the decision. I'm not making millions to coach.

 

I'm not a fan of them, but how hard is it to get a replay called correctly? It's just weird that Florida and Bama win all the replays.

 

I'm not sure what would happen. I'm positive that if both teams are unbeaten the winner plays for the title. That is my point.

Another bang up job by the replay refs too. The LSU defender had both feet in on the late interception. Maybe they should just let Florida and Bama play now so teams can quit getting cheated.
