It also has to do with money. Boise wants to get respect like a BCS program but they want to get paid like little joe blow university. For example, this coming year Boise is playing Va Tech at a neutral site I believe but VT is paying them 1.25 million to come. Nebraska doesnt pay that kind of money for teams to come to Lincoln.

Boise is going to struggle to get top teams to do that because of their stadium. Look at UC for example, they did a home and home with Oklahoma and instead of playing at Nippert Im pretty sure they are playing at Paul Brown this year because Nippert just doesnt have the capacity to hold these type of games. If Boise had a 50-60k stadium instead of 33,500 then they would have some wiggle room.

 

It wouldnt bother me if they did 1-1 or 2-2 because I'd love to see better teams like Boise on our schedule but I can see why that doesnt always happen.

Look at the big picture. Why does Boise have to do anything else? It's Boise State for crying out loud. Who were they 10 years ago? They are sitting in a great spot! They have to play 1 big game a year and they are in the BCS. They are now getting solid recruites year in year out and have one heck of a program. Boise..BCS..Fiesta Bowl..win! They play VTech next year I think. Win one big one and you've got a good shot to be right back in the big bowls reaking havoic again. If Texas doesn't hit the last 2nd FG they are in the big game this year. I wouldn't fall for the pressure if I'm their AD. They are set up to win!

I'd like to see them play Nebraska as a fan though!

It's not like Nebraska would get a very big ticket allotment whether it was a 60k stadium or its current, so what difference does this make if they're playing a home-and-home? If you're playing that type of arrangement, it's not like there's a gate split.
