November 4, 200916 yr So...do you ever have those moments? You know, the ones where someone looks at you like you have two heads or something? I had one of those today. I take my breakfast to work each morning. I usually cook up a couple of servings of oatmeal, maybe it's cream of wheat, or it could be yougurt and granola. But, whatever it is, I always need several small bowls because I batch it up so I can just grab it and go. This poses a dilemma I'm sure everyone has faced from time to time...finding the lids that go with the bowls. Being the cheapskate that I am, I don't have very much "real" tupperware or the like. I save pretty much every "tub" that I buy...yogurt, margerine, ricotta cheese, deli take outs...if it's plastic and has a lid, I save it. So, this morning, I go into work with my oatmeal in a ricotta tub with a yougurt lid. And everyone looked at me like I was weird! I couldn't understand it! Someone finally SAID I was wierd, to which I intellectually replied, "Yeah, I'm weird! So what!" In my mind, I was a little worried, and vowed never to invite them into my home. Lord knows what they'd think when they saw my collection of paper shopping bags! What's your "I'm weird..so what!" secret?
November 4, 200916 yr Author Like I said the other day, I can spot one of your threads a mile away. I'll take that as a compliment....if I have a choice.
November 4, 200916 yr What's your "I'm weird..so what!" secret?I get that look (at least) on a weekly basis. I get the same thing (implied) at some point in every phone conversation.

November 4, 200916 yr I have many "Yeah I'm weird.. So what?" moments... I hate being near aluminum foil, and never drink while eating for starters. I also tend to dislike people based on absolutely nothing at all -- Just a vibe that they give me. This annoys my girlfriend beyond belief... I don't sleep on pillows, I sleep on my back with my head between them. One of them must also be turned longways. That's all I can think of off the top of my head, but TRUST ME. I get many, many "You are crazy" looks per day. I love them.
November 4, 200916 yr I don't sleep on a pillow either, Hangman. I also hate the feeling of paper. I thought I was the only one until I heard Megan Fox on tv say that she has the same problem. I can't stand the dry feeling of a piece of paper.
November 4, 200916 yr Marie Osmond, I have had a crush on her for 30+ years. But a Morman/Baptist wouldn't fit, my wife ignores this. "Paper Roses" :idunno:
November 4, 200916 yr 1. Sleep with about 6 pillows on my bed, and have to have one between my knees at all times. 2. I usually have to smell of anything I eat that I haven't ate before if it has a sauce on it. I don't know why but for some reason I do it. 3. I eat all of one thing at a time when I eat. Like I'll eat my mashed potato's first, mac and cheese second and what ever else after that. I don't mix them up. 4. When I was younger I always had to have the radio on when I went to sleep. Probably lasted up until I went to college, something about listening to music helped me go to sleep. 5. Here is one from my wife. When she brushes her teeth she basically has to gag her self before she stops. She scrubs her tongue until she gags...She is weird..
November 4, 200916 yr ^ I kinda do number 5 too and know a few others that do it. I'd never seen that before she did it..I was like you're crazy.
November 4, 200916 yr My "I'm weird" secret is that I have a boatload of counting compulsions. For instance, my right foot MUST land on the top or the bottom (depending on which direction I'm going:D) of a flight of steps. Even if it's just one step. Consequently, I have to memorize how many steps are in every flight that I'm likely to encounter, so I'll know which foot to start with. I can always tell when I'm 6 or 7 steps from the top if I'm going to be "right" (it's not as easy when traveling downstairs for some reason). If I'm not going to be right, I'll skip a step to make it right. And that's only one of many such counting compulsions. There was a PhD psychologist with whom we contracted at the mental health center (I'm retired now) that LOVED talking with me...
