Actually if the bigger shark attacked from down below as sharks do, then it looks very real. And considering this on is on a fishing line, its mouth open and rolling around a bit, makes perfect sense

I'll believe this is two seperate bites, But I don't think one st of jaws would make curved bites in opposite directions.
October 30, 200916 yr If the jaws were big enough, I think they would. Try taking a hot dog bun or something, and I would be you would get a similiar bite pattern. And that is why they are saying it almost bite the small shark in half

You've also got to remember that the shark's jaws are not fixed like most animals and both their lower and upper jaws can move forward when it bites--not just the lower one. If the shark were big enough to engulf the smaller shark's body it could very well make that kind of a wound by jutting its upper jaw out. Look at the mouth of the shark in the photo, see how wide its mouth is open? Now picture its upper jaw and teeth pushed forward about 6-8 inches while its lower jaw is pushed forward as well. It would take a very large shark but it could cause that kind of wound.

October 30, 200916 yr I didn't realize that poor shark was still alive with those huge chunks taken out. Guess its thrashing about would explain all of the whitewater surrounding it.
