She was talking about how the campaign wanted to use video to get the message out to Obama supporters. Talking about how go directly to the voter instead of having their message massaged by the news outlets.

 

Instead of the Rs trying to find fault with this statement they should take the concept to heart in their next campaign. You MUST change your game as to how you disseminate your message. TV/Newspapers are NOT the best source for info anymore.

All the news organizations have an agenda. And it isn't just Murdoch who is interested in making money. None of them are 'charitable' organizations, ... they are businesses and run their operations as such. They do ALL let their personal beliefs interfere with the ability to actually report the news anymore. If you are depending on the mainstream media to give you the real 'news', ... then you are fooling yourself. For this administration to target FOX as they have is only helping FOX.

 

For that matter, all POTUS and their administrations have tried to control what is reported. Like Jim said, they all are using the same playbook, ... but this administration is letting their emotions spill over which is a HUGE mistake that can come back to bit them. I will say that at least this administration is honest about the fact that they don't like having a 'news' organization disagreeing with them. NONE of them have liked it. However, while I admire the honesty about it, I also find it laughable that they ask the other 'news' organizations to not treat FOX like a member of the actual media, but more like the 'Weekly World News'. At least McCain had a sense of humor about Olberman and even made jokes about the situation, when Olberman was using nearly every waking moment to blast McCain with his 'opinion'.

 

Folks, the bottom line is that real 'news' in the national media is dead and has been dying for several years. And they are ALL in the business of making money, PERIOD. If they weren't, they would be non profit charitable organizations and to my knowledge, none of them are filing their taxes as such. The right watches Fox AND the others to see what they believe the truth is and to also hear what horrible things MSNBC and others are saying. The left watches MSNBC and also watches Fox to see what horrible things they are saying. Either way, the networks are using this to make money and if you think any differently, ... I have some ocean front property in Jackson County that I will let go really cheap!

than what exists between the U.S. and Iran/North Korea/Venezuela ? So is it the WH's perception that he can sit across the table from these despots and negotiate (charm them into) nuclear disarmament, yet not be able to coexist with a domestic news channel.

Where is Fox misleading? They reported on their treatment from the WHITE HOUSE after Fox had the audacity to make sure what the WH person was saying was the truth.
