NEERFAN Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 When will PT finally fall from the ranks? Everyone said they were going to run away with the district but the've still struggled during their district matchups.
ColonelMike Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 3A is the poor man's class this year...I think the pollsters are struggling to know who to put in for them...but this probably sends them out of the rankings, I would think...

WKYfootballguy Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Pitiful....I can't fathom PT being this awful. Congrats to Mclean co!
oldonetechnique Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 WOW, I was thinking PT would end up doing well in the disrtict?
Throwinglong Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 PT was ahead 6-0 at half after a special teams miscue set them up deep in McLean territory. It was another special team's miscue, this time by Tilghman that set up the go ahead touchdown in the Third quarter. After an offsides by the punting team the center blew the snap and McLean was able to get the ball deep in Tilghman territory. On a 4-and-11 from about the 20 yard line, Spencer Phillips threw up a prayer on a half-back pass and hit Derrick Hardin in the end zone. The point after was good and it was 7-6 McLean. The next score came in the Fourth quarter on a drive by McLean that was capped by Spencer Phillips running it in from inside the 10 yard line. Extra point was good and the score was 14-6. McLean would pick off a Tilghman pass and run it in for a Touchdown and the extra point made it 21-6. Spencer Phillips would finish the scoring with a twenty yard run for a score with about a minute left in the fourth quarter. The extra point made it 28-6. Tilghman would get a good kickoff return, but on third down Tilghman was picked for the last time and McLean ran out the clock. Tilghman was able to slow McLean's running attack and some costly mistakes almost cost McLean the game. In the end, McLean found a way to win. The district championship is on the line next Friday night in Morganfield as McLean takes on Union County who defeated Webster County this evening.
redleg13 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Just when I though it couldn't get worse for PTHS!
BigCatDaddy Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 This should do it. PT has potential, but that is about it. Prisons are full of potential. PT has fallen FAST since Perry left. I would expect a coaching change...just speculation, but this is not the PT that this state is used to seeing dominate! Good luck.

Everyone said they were going to run away with the district but the've still struggled during their district matchups.I don't remember anyone saying that Tilghman would "run away" with the district. After all, Union County had a lot coming back from a team that beat Tilghman in overtime last year and reached the state semifinals. But there is no question that Tilghman has underachieved.
