October 12, 200916 yr There is a difference between a dirty hit / cheap shot and a dangerous hit. The NFL must protect their players, and that is a rule that is there for safety. I'm a Bengals fan. I do not care much for Ray Lewis. I do not think it was a dirty hit. Football is a physical game and he had a great opportunity to hit Chad. He didn't lead with his head. If Ray wanted to, he could've hurt Chad on that play. It could've been much, much worse. You said it was football and obviously it is NOT football or it would be a legal hit. It is not a legal hit and was rightly flagged.

Lewis's shoulder hits Chad and the force of the impact knocks off his helmet.
October 12, 200916 yr Carson threw a pick 6 where Ed Reed was all over him. I'd attribute that to Baltimore and Ed Reed more than Carson's mistake. Ray Rice had a great run after his catch for a TD. We missed a tackle, but that was more due to Rice's efforts than our mishaps. St. Louis made a bad snap that cost us 3 points. Part of that could be attributed to Graham, too. St. Louis made another bad snap that didn't hurt us because Baltimore committed some type of penalty on the PAT. That allowed us to take the lead by 3. OchoCinco made a nice catch but didn't take care of the football late in the 2nd quarter. Reed popped it out & Baltimore recovered it. That cost us an opportunity to get AT LEAST a FG. I think it was about 1:30 left in the 2nd quarter. Baltimore had a lot of dumb penalties late that really hurt them. The Bengals didn't make many dumb plays, to keep the Ravens in it. It was a nice change of pace. :lol: Cedric Benson is THE MAN. Are you filling in for Mal right now or something? Usually he is the Bengals fan that really only says bad things about them and not giving them much credit. I mean basically from everything I read, you must think that the Ravens think that the Ravens lost the game more than the Bengals won it. I mean honestly if the Ravens won it would have been the other way around, most people would have thought the Bengals lost it more than the Ravens won it. The Bengals basically dominated this game, and should have won by more than they did. The defense gave up one touchdown, and it came on a great play by the runningback, and just the Bengals not finishing the play. All Leon Hall had to do was actually try there, and Rice doesn't go anywhere. The Bengals were definitely the better team today, and deserved to win.

October 12, 200916 yr I have been kind of out of the loop this weekend, I didn't even know about Zimmer until this morning. That was so sad to hear that, I am so happy that the Bengals were able to win this one for him. He is in for a hard time, and probably really hard time tonight, because he wont have his wife to celebrate this win with when he gets home. Prayers are definitely with him and his family.

October 12, 200916 yr I didn't even see him on the field. Perhaps I missed him. Ultimately, however, he wasn't brought in here and given a $28M contract to block. If that's his sole value, there are much cheaper and much better options. I agree 100% but I was just adding that he isn't completely worthless. He really does need to step it up a lot. We have a new TJ anyway. Mr. Andre Caldwell. I know I did notice that Henry was on the field a lot more today, which was good to see. I mean the offense put up over 400 yards against one of the best defenses in the NFL, so just having him in there helps keep the defense honest. It seemed to me that they had him in there a lot for Coles when they went three receivers. Had him and Chad on the outside, and Caldwell on the inside. I think that really is the best offense for the Bengals, and I was glad to see it.
