October 5, 200916 yr Just curious....how does Cincinnati leapfrog Ohio State? Both teams won this past week, and both did it by handedly beating inferior opponents, so you'd think there would'nt be any "style" points handed out that would make the difference. And with us only being halfway through the season, it's not like there's a push for an undefeated team being ranked higher than a team with one loss. Which leaves????? Not saying that Cincinnati might not be one spot better than OSU right now...but just trying to figure out the change in the poll. Any thoughts? The only reason why OSU had been ranked higher than UC, is because of people's "opinions" at the beginning of the season, it really was not who the actual better team is. I think we have seen this year that the actual better team is UC. OSU honestly should have never been ranked ahead of UC, but thats college football for you. Its all based on opinions, and we crown a so called National Champion just based on opinions and not really on the field.

If UK had their schedule they would be 5-0 too. Saying UC would beat OSU is a huge leap.

With that teams that want to try for the BCS will have a quality opponent on their schedule, and teams that struggle to win games against FCS competition will get a game against a team on their level. It's not fair for a team like Alabama to have to open with VT, play against the vaunted SEC, and then take on UF in the SEC title game and miss out on the BCS championship or BCS because they lost a game or two, when many teams play no one. Call it dictatorship or whatever, it would end the SOS argument and possibly the whole argument over which teams should get in.
