As far as records for the "Big School" Division this is what I can gather:

 

Ryle 4-0 beating Cov Cath, Highlands, Connor and Simon Kenton

 

Highlands 2-2 with wins over Cov Cath and Boone and losses to St. X and Ryle (rain out against Campbell)

 

Cov Cath 2-2 with wins over Campbell and Connor and losses to Ryle and Highlands

 

Simon Kenton 3-1 with wins over Campell, Dixie and Boone and a loss to Ryle

 

Dixie has 2 losses to Simon and Boone not sure about their other games

 

Boone lost to Highlands and maybe Connor but not sure on the others

 

Connor possibly a win against Boone and losses to Ryle and Cov Cath

 

Campbell is without a victory as far as I can tell.

Ryle is now 5-0 with wins over Holy Cross, Cov Cath, Highlands, Conner, and Simon Kenton. They look to improve their record to 6-0 playing Dixie tomorrow at Ryle. (6:00)

Newport takes on Lloyd at Newport.

Simon lost to Cov Cath 32-27 after being up 27-13 at half. I have no details though.

Well in the smaller division they're in, they are I think 6-0 or 5-0 and shut out nearly everyone (in the division). They play Scott County and I think this will be a good test since they can't play Ryle or bigger freshman schools

Yes it is on for tomorrow night at Cooper at 7:00 pm. Time had to be pushed back a little bit for travel, and also because there is a soccer game tomorrow night at 5 I believe. Hope this helps

I thought Cooper had a little bit of a challenge form NewCath? Wasn't that a close game for a while with Cooper finally pulling away in the second half?

 

Beechwood plays Holmes at Holmes on Thursday at 6:00. I haven't heard anything about the Holmes freshman team. Does anyone know anything about Holmes freshman? What's their record and who have they played?

 

It really wasn't that big of a test for the Freshman Jags. Cooper came out flat with it being the first game, but picked it up late in the 1st quarter and early in the 2nd. I think the halftime score was somewhere near 30-7.

They do have a concession stand but I can't honestly tell you what they have, normal stuff I guess. The half time score against NCC was 12-8 I believe. The Jags were playing together on the field for the first time as they had no scrimmages prior to this game. They scored the next 20 to start the second half and then NCC scored late against the second team. NCC did have a nice runner, very big and ran hard. Should be a good game tonight. The starters haven't played into the second half since week one and I expect for them to see the second half tonight.

I thought Lloyd did not have a freshmen team this year. That why some school had open dates this year. Or is that another school in NKY?

CovCath took a 13-7 lead with about 3 minutes lefted in the 2nd quarter.

SK then scored 3 TD'S on about 5 plays.

CovCath stopped the clock by throwing and also had a interception.

Two long runs by the QB #4 and a long pass to end the half.

In the second half, the CovCath defense stepped up and foreced a couple of turnovers.

CovCath scored the winning TD with 20 Seconds lefted in the game.

CovCath missed the 2 point conversion,thankfully because it was getting dark quick, for those of you in the other post.

WE NEED LIGHTS

Cov Cath played a good football game and have a very good team. #24 is a hard running back and played a super game.

 

Sk, on the other hand, continues to have turnover issues. Two more fumbles by #45 (atleast 6 in the past three games) and another interception by the QB. Offensive is far too predictable and the defense ( a 3-5) pushes the opponent to run to their weakness, the DB's, with sweeps and the toss.

 

The Cov Cath parents were calling the SK plays from the bleachers- a sure sign that EVERYONE knows what the play is.

 

Congrats to Cov Cath for not getting down after the two big SK plays at the end of the first half.

Boone beat Campbell County last night 34-14. It was tied at half 14-14 but Boone finally kicked it in in the second half.

Boone has Ryle and Cov Cath their last 2 games. I believe they need to beat Cov Cath to make playoffs. I've been told the top 2 teams from each division go to playoffs. Can anyone confirm?
